Membership Confirms Commitment
to World Class Integration & Interoperability Concord, MA, November 27, 2000 – HMS Software,
Inc., a leading international supplier of process planning, manufacturing
execution and non-conformance systems specializing in the Aerospace and Defense
industry, today announced that it has joined the Open Applications Group, Inc.
and will fully support the Open Applications Group Interface Specification
(OAGIS) for its entire family of products including HMS-CAPP, HMS-Shop Floor
Management and HMS-Non Conformance Management.
The HMS product family will support OAGIS, its unparalleled XML
translation capabilities, and its associated OAGIS standards as the baseline for
addressing all integration points required by their customers.
This includes interfacing to in-house legacy systems as well as other
third party applications. “Many of our customers and integration partners
already embrace OAGIS. This is a
natural integration process for our customers to implement, maintain and
enhance. OAGIS takes the mystery out of the integration process and
introduces a common language for all systems to use,” said Robert McNiff, Vice
President of Development and CoFounder, HMS Software, Inc. “We are pleased to
have HMS Software’s technologies and expertise in the Open Applications Group,
Inc. consortium. HMS solutions will
allow aerospace and defense manufacturing companies to rapidly exploit the
richness of OAGIS, providing interoperability with other XML vocabularies and
accelerating the integration of OAGIS standards across the aerospace and defense
manufacturing supply chain,” said Dave Connelly, President, Open Applications
Group, Inc. About OAGi The Open Applications
