Open Applications Group Issues Third Release of Integration Specifications

Momentum building for open integration of enterprise applications.

Today the Open Applications Group announced the availability of OAGIS 1.024.0, the Open Applications Group's latest release of its specifications for connecting to the enterprise applications supplied by most of the largest ERP vendors in the world.

Release 1.024.0 provides new facilities for integration of plant data collection and warehouse management systems to ERP systems. With the additions in Release 1.024.0, Open Applications Group specifications cover integration to financial applications, plant floor data collection, and warehouse management.

This is the third release of Open Applications Group specifications in the last ten months. The Open Applications Group is planning an additional OAGIS release by December which will cover integration to human resources, project accounting, credit checking, and, time and attendance applications.

In July the Open Applications Group announced that American Software, Dun & Bradstreet Software, CODA, Marcam Solutions, NEC C&C Systems Group, Oracle, QAD, and SAP AG had all announced the delivery schedules for compliance with previously released Open Applications Group specifications.

In addition to its work with members, the Open Applications Group is now cooperating with customers of its member companies to support projects which implement applications from multiple Open Applications Group members with integration based on Open Applications Group standards.
